The General Manager of CTAB; Mr. Khaled Sassi, participated in the International Conference on Organic Agriculture in Deserts and Drylands, which was held in China, more precisely in the province of Bayanur in Inner Mongolia, from the 3^rd to September 7^th, 2023. During this conference, he presented an intervention on the sustainable management of organic oasis ecosystems in Tunisia.

On the same occasion, he was chosen as a member of the steering committee of the Network of Organic Agriculture in Deserts and Arid Regions (DOAN) following the signing of a MoU for the establishment of this network between the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements - Asia (IFOAM- Asia) and the Chinese company Shengmu Organic Milk.

Tuesday, August 22, 2023 in Tunis: Participation of Mr Youssef AMOR: General engineer, Director of Experiments and Communication at the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture (CTAB) in a meeting about "the consolidation of the organic date control system" organized by the General Directorate of Organic Agriculture (DGAB) in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Thursday August 17, 2023: Mr. Youssef AMOR, general engineer at the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture, made a technical visit to “Triaat Damergi” farm in Turki - governorate of Nabeul, which will be planted with organic irrigated olive trees.

During this visit, the farm was inspected (soil, water, etc.) and technical and logistical advices were transmitted to the operator.

A field visit was made on August 15,2023, for a farm in Rejich, by Mr. Hatem Chehidi (engineer from the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture) and Mrs. Aida Bouajila (Researcher from Biotechnology Center of  Borj Cedria). This visit aimed to supervise the experiment of organic Mil production.

A field visit was made on Wednesday August 09,2023, for a farm in Hawaria, by Mr. Hatem Chehidi and Mrs Faten Mansour from the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture. This visit aimed to supervise the experiment of organic Mil production.

As part of the promotion of experiences among operators, Mr. Youssef Amor and Mrs. Faten Mansour (Technical Center for Organic Agriculture), participated, with Mr. Ikbal Chaieb (Research Center in Horticulture and Organic Agriculture – Chott mariem ) and Mrs. Naima Osman and Mrs. Asma Aissa (Regional Commissioner of Agricultural Development "CRDA" of Sousse) in the animation of a field day on organic vegetable crops for the benefit of a group of farmers and technicians and this, in collaboration with the CRDA of Sousse: Organic Agriculture Division.

Date and place: Wednesday August 02, 2023 at the Rouis Family organic farm in Knais – M’saken – Sousse.

The Technical Center of Organic Agriculture welcomed two representatives from the organization “Access Agriculture” Mr. « Fady Wajdi Segfrou » et Ms. « Laura Thabet » on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. During this visit, an oral communication about the organization cited above was presented and a demonstration on the use of the smart projector in the framework of the program youth Entrepreneurs for the Rural Access (ERA) for North Africa was performed.

As part of the supervision and technical assistance of organic farmers, a field visit was made on Friday, January 13, 2023, for a farmer and organic processor "Bioland Company" specializing in the production and the processing of aromatic and medicinal plants (Aloe Vera).

This visit aimed to provide technical advice for the maintenance of Aloe cultivation and compost production as well as the set-up of an experiment on soil fertilization.

Participation of the engineer CHEHIDI Hatem, in a participatory workshop on “the Diagnosis of the methods adopted in the cultivation of Durum Wheat in Tunisia” which was organized at the headquarters of INGC  as part of a field survey  conducted by a french student from the ISTOM institute in collaboration with INGC.

Monday, July 11th, 2023: Follow-up of a trial in the organic farm of Mr. Hichem Bannour and an other one of Mr. Abdejlil Hamrouni in Chorbène situated in the Governorate of Mahdia, with the collaboration and cooperation between the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture (CTAB) and the Regional Commissioner for Agricultural Development (CRDA) of Mahdia.

The first trial consists on studying the adaptation of the seasonal pepper crop under the biodynamic farming system and the second trial consists on studying the association of seasonal crops.

During this day, soil samples were carried out for analysis.

Wednesday, June 21, 2023: : Fellow-up of a field trial in organic Farm of Mr. Fethi Rouiss in Knaies – M’saken Governorate of Sousse, by the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture (CTAB) together with the Regional Commissioner of Agricultural Development (CRDA) of Sousse: Division of Organic Agriculture.

The trial consists of studying the adaptation of okra with the organic farming.

During this day, observations relating to the crop, as well as technical and economic advices to the operator were carried out.

Tuesday, June 20, 2023: Technical supervision visit and follow-up of a trial on the production of organic aromatic and medicinal plants at the  field of Mr. Omar Mezghanni (Agareb, Governorate of Sfax).

Supervision by Salaheddine Souguir, Head of Communication Department.

The CTAB Engineer Mr. Hatem Chehidi, participated in the informative day on the valorization of Quinoa, which was organized by the researcher Ahmed Marouani (from Horti Pam Company).

Mrs. Ksouri Mansour participated on Thursday, June 15th, 2023 in an information day entitled "The traceability of organic products" which was organized by the Regional Commissioner of Agricultural Development (CRDA) of Gabes, in the Agricultural Professional Training Center of Zerkine by an oral communication "The market for organic products".

The CTAB participated in the International Exhibition of Olive, Olive Oil and Olive Tree Derivatives at the Sousse Fair from June 08 to 11, 2023.

The participation took place in a pavilion with an area of 12 square meters, where visitors were welcomed to answer their various questions. During this event, CTAB missions and activities were also presented as well as the project "KHNA, Knowledge Hub for Organic Agriculture in North Africa".

Also an intervention on "the techniques of production of organic olives" presented by Mr. Youssef Amor during scientific days organized during the fair.

Participation of Mr. Youssef AMOR and Mrs. Jouhaina RIAHI from the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture (CTAB) in a training session organized by the General Directorate of Organic Agriculture (DGAB) in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on " Mastering the management of pest control techniques in organic date palm groves " for the benefit of the operators of organic dates. The training was realized from 6 to 7 June 2023 on Kebilli region and from 8 to 9, 2023 on Tozeur region.

Visitors: A group of students from the 2nd year of professional master's degree in agricultural and agri-food management from the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Management Sciences of Jendouba.

Subject: Presentation of the Organic Agriculture sector, the added values ​​of organic products as well as some project ideas.

This activity was carried out in collaboration with the CTAB agents' association.

The Technical Center of Organic Agriculture (CTAB) animated an information day on "The processing of organic medicinal and aromatic plants" for the benefit of rural women groupment "Arrihane" in Menzel Bouzayane-Sidi Bouzid, and this on May 18^th, 2023.

The engineer Salaheddine SOUGUIR and the technician Laila LADHERI contributed to the animation of this activity.

Friday, May 26, 2023, a professor from the Agronomic Institute “Rennes Angers” (France), accompanied by Professor Neji Tarchoun, from the Higher Agronomic Institute of Chott Mariem, was welcomed in the experimental plot of the Technical Center of Organic Agriculture, where are Installed experimentations on organic vegetables.
